The preliminary hearing for a 49-year-old Hutchinson woman on one of two cases involving being in possession of meth with intent to distribute was continued, because on a conflict with Attorney Alice Osburn.

She represents Dinah Sanchez Loredo in her first case, but also was assigned as counsel for a co-defendant, Natasha Willm. Judge Joe McCarville has now assigned Shaun Lautz to represent Willm. So, the case is continued until January 25.

Osburn also requested that the bond be reinstated in the first case which was denied. Deputy District Attorney Tom Stanton objected and even asked that bond be set at a million dollars saying she has two cases pending, and a third about to go before the Kansas Supreme Court. She was also suspected of being involved with a Hutchinson man who is currently serving time in federal prison for being a major distributor of drugs.

Sanchez Loredo was arrested last Friday for being in possession of meth with intent to sell. She apparently was caught with the drugs and paraphernalia and allegedly had 3-ounces on her according to Stanton.

She had been arrested back in early November, along with Willm for having meth where they allegedly had over a pound of meth.

Then there’s the case from July of 2007. The arrest of Sanchez-Loredo in that case occurring when the vehicle with her and Amber Moore was stopped by drug detectives when they were on their way back from Dodge City. They apparently had a large quantity of drugs at that time and the case against Sanchez Loredo is expected to be argued before the Kansas Supreme Court next month.

She was the common-law wife of Bruno Garcia who was convicted in federal court when he was allegedly caught with nearly 4-pounds of meth and attempted to sell it to another man. The drugs had an estimated street value of nearly 171-thousand dollars. He’s serving 10-years in federal prison for that conviction.
