MCPHERSON COUNTY — A McPherson County boy died in an accident just after 1:30 p.m. on Saturday in McPherson County.

Nicholas Ratzlaff, 10, Galva, was southbound on an off-road mini bike on 24th Avenue near Galva, according to Undersheriff Jim Johnston.

Ratzlaff made a left turn in front of a southbound pickup as it moved to pass the off-road vehicle.

Ratzlaff was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, according to Johnston.

No charges are expected in connection with the accident.  The motorized bike is not street legal, according to authorities.
