CASSODAY (AP) – Authorities in Butler County say two people have been killed in a crash on the Kansas Turnpike.

KAKE-TV reports a sport-utility vehicle ran off the turnpike Wednesday afternoon near Cassoday, about 45-miles northeast of Wichita.

The SUV was in the southbound lanes when it left the highway and rolled into a ditch.

Names of the victims have not been released, and it’s not known if anyone else was in the SUV.
