Prairie Independent Living Resource Center to host open house to celebrate 15-years

The Prairie Independent Living Resource Center will celebrate 15-years of providing independent living services for those with dissabilities in Reno County as well as surrounding counties with an open house on January 18. This will be from 1 p-m to 3 p-m at 17 South Main in Hutchinson.

They began their operations on January 16, 1997, which at that time were being mentored by the Topeka Independent Living Resource Center, but became independent on June 16, 1998.

The local facility current has 19 full time and 4 part time staff members as well as numerous volunteers and currentlt provides services in various counties across the state.

They also operate satellite offices in Pratt and Dodge City.

Again, the open house will be in January 18, from 1-3 p-m at 17 South Main.
