The Hutchinson Symphony Orchestra will present a “Pause to Remember Concert” on Sunday evening, September 11th at the State Fair. “I want this to be a time that we just take a few steps back and reflect on who we are as a country, how we look at the world, and how this event has affected us,” said Richard Koshgarian, Symphony Conductor. Honoring those individuals who we have lost and who serve our Nation, members of the American Legion Lysle Rishel Post 68 of Hutchinson, will present a flag ceremony.

The Hutchinson Symphony will perform favorites including the Star Spangled Banner, America the Beautiful, Fanfare of the Common Man (a 20th-century American classical music work by American composer Aaron Copland), Battle Hymn of the Republic, Albinoni’s Adagio in G minor and a spirited rendition of Stars and Stripes among others.

Will Tobin, President of the Hutchinson Symphony Association, says, “We are honored to have the opportunity to present classical and other well well-known patriotic music in a setting such as the Kansas State Fair on such an important day.” The concert is scheduled to conclude as the sun sets to the west behind Lake Talbot Stage at 7:48pm.
