HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 52-year-old Wichita man who was arrested on suspicion of distributing drugs here in Hutchinson caught a break from the state Tuesday when he appeared before judge for the reading of charges.
Douglas Buck was only charged with simple possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia instead of those charges with intent to distribute added in.
Police responded to a Hutchinson home back on March 31 on the report of a 911 hangup. They could then hear arguing inside the home. They made contact with Buck and allegedly located a Skoal can that allegedly contained three packs of cocaine and some cash on him as well.
Bond in the case set at $8,000 and in court he again asked for a signature bond. That was denied.
