An arrest for stealing clothes at a local store has landed a Hutchinson woman in jail for charges of felony theft, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and introducing drugs into a jail.
The case starts with an employee of The Clothestime Shop, 8 E. 3, reporting a white female taking clothing items from the business without paying for them. 34-year-old Bridget Martinez, of 301 E. 6, Apt. 1, was arrested and the drugs were apparently found on her person while being booked into the Reno County Jail. Martinez’s two children were taken to Intake & Assessment for Child in need of care.
28-year-old Lacie L. Flickinger of 1010 N. Madison, as well as Martinez were advised of criminal trespass that store.
Bond set for Martinez at 14-thousand, 500-dollars, but in court Friday, she managed to get it lowered to 5-thousand on the condition that she be sent to the Women’s Recovery Center in Wichita.
