SALINE COUNTY – Law enforcement authorities in Saline County are investigating a suspect on drug and battery charges.

Just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, deputies were sent to Outlaws Bar 1676 W. State St. in Salina for report of a fight, according to Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan.

Miguel Mendez, 28, Salina, allegedly got into a fight with Mario Brown, 37, South Hutchinson.

Brown was transported by EMS to the Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of a broken leg.

Deputies also found Mendez to been in possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Mendez was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of aggravated battery, possession of cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
