HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 21-year-old man was injured in a one-vehicle accident in the county early Monday.

John Cowan was driving his Ford Explorer east on Arlington Road from K-14 Highway. He said the front passenger side tire left the roadway as he looked down at his cell phone. He attempted to drive back onto the road and overcorrected. He lost control of the vehicle. It rolled two to three times, coming to rest on its driver side.

He was reportedly bleeding from his left hand and complained of pain in his neck. They transported him to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The accident occurred around 7:50 Monday morning.
