HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Community College has announced that Dan “Coach Nac” Naccarato, instructor of business management and entrepreneurship, has been selected as the 2015-16 Dragon Educator of the Year.

Naccarato was selected from nominees from all academic areas by the HutchCC Student Government Association (SGA) for the honor. The instructors are nominated by Hutchinson Community College students, and then complete a selection and personal interview process conducted by SGA. Naccarato received his honor at the college’s commencement on May 6.

Coach Nac teaches Introduction to Business, Leadership, Supervision and Business Internship, and he provides academic advising for Business majors.

He joined the Hutchinson Community College faculty 12 years ago after he retired from The Kroger Co. as Director of Human Resources and Corporate Benefits at Dillons.

Naccarato received his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Emporia State University in 1982, and earned his MBA at Emporia State in 1985.
