HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 55-year-old man is jailed on a bond of $165,500 for forcible rape, two counts of aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, two counts of criminal threat and battery-domestic violence.

The victim made the report to the Reno County Sheriff that the relationship with Richard Dean McHenry began back on 2009 when she was 16, but changed over time and that his demeanor toward her also changed. The victim alleges the sexual encounters occurred in December of last year and April of this year and were forced.

She says, during the last encounter, she came to his home to get some of her belongings and, during that encounter, she was kicked and then sexually assaulted.

They apparently became acquainted while working at the same company.

McHenry has a prior conviction for aggravated criminal sodomy for a case from 2000 out of Jefferson County and is required to register as a sex offender.

During a court appearance, he was told of the potential charges with bond being left the same. He should be back in court next week for the formal reading of charges.
