2 arrested on drug-related charges and flee and elude

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Two residents of the Wichita area were arrested around 10:30 last night on drug-related charges after they were alleged to have been involved in a hit-and-run accident in the city.

Forty-year-old Jason Fike of Wichita was arrested in the 300 block of South Pershing on charges of flee and elude, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of meth, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, interference with law enforcement, no tax stamp, failing to report and leaving the scene of an accident and illegal transportation of alcohol. He’s jailed on a bond of $11,850.

In court, it was also brought up that he is being sought by federal marshals for a bank robbery case with the warrant out of Virginia. However, the warrant didn’t specify where the robbery took place.

Thirty-nine-year-old Kandra B. Carter of Haysville was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of meth, two counts of drug of possession of drug paraphernalia, interference with law enforcement and no tax stamp.

Her bond is set at $9,500.

Both will be back in court next week for the formal reading of charges.
