HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The trial for a man accused of felony murder has been continued once again.

Brennan Trass is accused in the shooting death of 24-year-old Jose Morales, who was found on the floor of a residence back on Aug. 17 with multiple gunshot wounds. He died later at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

Judge Trish Rose had earlier granted a defense request to continue the trial until this month with them saying they needed more time to prepare. Now, she granted another continuance with the defense saying they need more time because of the large amount of discovery. The state didn’t oppose the defense request, so it will be delayed until later this summer.

No new date was announced by Judge Rose.
