SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The three men arrested on May 2 after a traffic stop near South Hutchinson were back in court Thursday morning where they were read the formal charges.

The three men are 22-year-old Bo Bailey Taylor, 20-year-old Matthew Allen Harrell and 25-year-old Kyle Russell Johnson.

The case started when a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper made the traffic stop on the vehicle driven by Taylor for going 76 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour zone. Once stopped, he could smell marijuana in the vehicle. Johnson produced a marijuana pipe from the passenger door. After a search of the vehicle, the trooper located a large amount of marijuana and marijuana products with a total weight of around 4 pounds.

The three are now charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of products containing THC and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute.

Their cases will now be moved to a waiver-status docket in the near future.
