A former Sterling College football player, sentenced to seven years in prison for a fatal car crash in 2006, that killed two people will have to pay over 23-thousand dollars in restitution. That was the decision Friday after a brief hearing Friday.

Robert Silhan of Valley Center was convicted of two counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of aggravated battery.

The case centers on the April 14, 2006, car crash that killed Adrian Crosby and Dominique Green, of Wichita and injured the two young men’s girlfriends. The crash occurred just south of South Hutchinson where Silhan was apparently legally intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of .17. He was driving north in the southbound lanes of K-96 and he struck the vehicle with Crosby and Green the two girlfriends inside.

The brief hearing Friday finally ends all of the court proceedings involving this tragic case.
