HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A local man made a court appearance Tuesday in two cases, the first with some serious charges.

Kyle Youngblood is charged with aggravated burglary for allegedly breaking into a home in the 4100 block of Charleston Street in Hutchinson. He did so at a time when at least one of the residents was inside. He’s also charged with felony theft for stealing cash and personal property valued at between $25,000 and $100,000.

The alleged crimes occurred on June 25, 2014, but are just now coming through the courts.

He was also charged in another case for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a case filed last year. Both of those are misdemeanor counts and he entered guilty pleas to both. He was sentenced to six months in the county jail and granted one year of probation.

The felony case will now move to a waiver-status docket. He was denied a bond reduction and, according to the jail log, his bond is $12,750.
