HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 37-year-old Hutchinson man on community corrections, but arrested recently on burglary charges is back in jail for a new arrest.

A 29-year-old woman says Felix Bribiesca Jr. was in her home early Sunday and allegedly stole items. The home in the 300 block of West 14th.

About that same time, two residents in the 300 block of East 12th, reported someone entering their resident and stealing items from them as well.

He was allegedly in possession of a DVD player, a Dell computer and other items when he was located by police. He claims that the items were his and that he had permission to enter at least one of the homes. The owners of that property deny that they had given permission.

Bribiesca was arrested back in Feb. for allegedly breaking into two homes and stealing items. One of the burglaries occurred in the 800 block of East A and the other in the 400 block of Liberty.

Those cases are still pending

Bribiesca was sentenced back in Nov. of last year for several charges, the most serious being a charge of aggravated battery for a case from Nov. 23, 2013. In that case, he’s charged with battering another man, Ismael Chavez.

He also entered a plea to attempted theft for a case on Oct. 31 of that same year, as well as two charges of false impersonation and a misdemeanor count of issuing a worthless check.

In one case that goes back to Oct. 31, 2013, he is charged with three counts of forgery and one count of theft by deception. In the other case, he’s charged with aggravated battery that goes back to Nov. 23, 2013.

Bond for the latest arrest is set at $5,500 and he should be back in court on July 18, for the formal reading of charges.
