HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas State Fair held its final board meeting Tuesday before the great
Kansas Get-Together on September 9-18.
With the numbers presented to the board, it looks like it’s going to be another busy 10 days. According to reports, all 1,180 commercial spaces have been taken with 700 exhibitors. Moving day for major outside exhibitors is set for Aug. 28 with inside exhibitors able to move in after Labor Day. The fair also announced that it has a daily sponsor for each day of the fair.
This year the fair will also recognize two entities for their continued presence at the fair. The first is Our Lady of Guadalupe, who will celebrate 70 years at the fair. The other is New Holland Farm Machinery, who will be at the fair for a 50th year.
The fair will also have the return of the beard and moustache contest and the Kansas Rides Motorcycle Rally.
