Accident west of Haven sends Hutch man to local hospital

HAVEN – A 39-year-old Hutchinson man was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center after a two vehicle crash Tuesday on K-96 west of Haven.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2004 SUV driven by 42-year-old Ronald D. Dymond Jr., of Haven was southbound on Mayfield Road and he failed to yield to an eastbound 1997 Interntional truck driven by Troy Cox of Hutchinson. His vehicle went into the median and overturned.

Cox was transported by Reno County E-M-S to the hospital, while Dymond was not injured.

The accident occurring around 4:40 p-m Tuesday evening, three miles west of Haven.
