HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The effort to help those in need in the community get ready for school didn’t go as well as in years past.
The effort was to help First Call for Help stock up on supplies to provide those in need with supplies as we get ready for school this year.
They were hoping to collect six trucks with this year’s effort, but only filled one, according to Tom King from our staff.
Weather may have played a part in the disappointing number with a steady rain falling for the start of the event that was held at Walmart in Hutchinson on Saturday.
Midwest Ford and Toyota was involved with this annual collection drive.
