
HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Quest Center for Entrepreneurs at Hutchinson Community College, in conjunction with the Hutchinson SCORE Chapter is hosting Mr. Will Katz, Director of the University of Kansas Small Business Development Center, for a Succession Planning roundtable.
This roundtable will cover a number of topics, including, preparing your business for transition,
internal transition versus external transition, how to plan for your exit/succession, wat is the value of your business, developing succession candidates, multi-phase transition model, owner finance versus buyer finance, asset versus stock transition as well as other questions.
The roundtable will be held Thursday, Aug. 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Quest Center, Room 116. Lunch will be provided. Space is limited and the registration fee is $30.00.
Katz has a variety of professional and management experience from companies both large and small. He spent seventeen years at E and E Display Group in Lawrence, beginning in 1987 and culminating with a stint as Production Manager in charge of manufacturing operations for a company with 200 employees producing $25 million in annual revenues. He’s also served as a people leader in Fortune 50 companies, General Motors and Target. He is passionate about working with small businesses to help them succeed in our communities. In his time as director, Katz has met with more than 1,500 entrepreneurs and prospective entrepreneurs. KU-KSBDC clients have started approximately 400 businesses and raised approximately $75 million in capital during his time in his current position.
The Quest Center for Entrepreneurs at Hutchinson Community College is dedicated to helping entrepreneurs start or expand their business through consulting, education and possible financing opportunities.
