HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Earlier this summer, we told you that the Hutchinson JR Salthawks Baseball Team were number one in the power rankings for the ten and under USSSA Baseball Rankings.

Now one of those Jr. Salthawks has made the team USA Regional Team And is on his way to Cary, North Carolina to try and make the USA International Team

Ten-year-old Nash Wray was one of the 16 chosen for the Midwest Regional Team which consists which consists of a seven state region.

Nash, along with his parents, Grant and Shalya fly out Wednesday where Nash will try and make the twelve and under team USA International Team.

The tryout involves the Midwest Team playing four games against other regional teams along with evaluations of hitting, position play and running ability. According to his father, it’s going to be tough for him to make the twelve under team as a ten year old, but he has been working hard everyday.

If he makes the team, he will travel throughout the United State and internationally.
