HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Gas price averages saw another move upward this past week at least for some. Hays saw the largest jump in the areas monitor by Triple A from $2.01 to $2.12.

Hutchinson and the prices in Hutch also jumped from the $1.97 we had on Monday morning to $2.09 Monday afternoon according to www.gasbuddy.com. That was the average price.

The Kansas average is also over two dollars, but is still the lowest average since the low in 2004 of $1.87 on this day.

The national average price for regular unleaded is $2.16 per gallon, which is four cents more than one week ago, but is two cents less than a month ago, according to Triple A.
