HUTCHINSON, Kan. —  An 18-year-old Hutchinson woman was injure din a car/ pedestrian accident just before 11 Tuesday morning.

Hutchinson Police report that Ashley Griffith was in the intersection of 13th and Plum when she was hit by a car driven by 47-year-old Valerie Avery of Hutchinson. Griffith was awake and sitting at the curb when EMS arrived. She was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Avery was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian and inattentive driving.
