Trial for Dillons robbery suspect continued

WICHITA, Kan. — The trial for a Goddard man accused of numerous robberies including the holdup of Dillons robber 2the North Main Dillons store in Hutchinson has been delayed in US Federal Court.

Records show the trial for 25-year-old Austin Kinnaird was continued with no new date set.

Kinnaird is on trial for the April 29, 2016, robbery of the Intrust Bank in the Dillons store at 9450 E. Harry in Wichita. He’s also accused in a separate indictment of holding up the Hutchinson Dillons store along with two other Dillons in Wichita, and a Golf shop.

Kinnaird is accused of walking into the Hutchinson Dillons March 11 and telling the clerk he had a weapon and wanted money. He then made off on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

The robbery forced Hutchinson USD 308 to place HMS-8 into lockdown while police searched for a suspect.

No initial trial date has been announced in the Dillons case.
