HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Police have made an arrest of a man who allegedly forced his way into an apartment in Hutchinson and allegedly stole a 48 inch TV and a computer tablet.

Conor Wyatt Gomes was arrested for two counts of aggravated battery, burglary and criminal damage to property.

As we we told you earlier, two men received minor injuries after they attempted to stop a break-in at the apartment in the 900 block of East 12th.

19-year-old Gabriel Menchaca says he was not home at the time of the burglary, but says two neighbors tried to stop the burglary and received injuries with a knife as a result. The two neighbors were identified at 20-year-old William Mclain and 19-year-old Jonathon Landeros. Neither of the men were transported to the hospital. One had cuts on his left hand and the other on his right hand. This after they apparently wrestled with the burglar after discovering him in the spartment.

This occurring around 6:45 p.m. Monday

His bond set at $55,250 and she should be back in court on Sept. 8 for the formal reading of charges
