
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A man arrested last week after he allegedly stabbed another man during a confrontation in Hutchinson last week was scheduled to be back before a judge Thursday morning, hoever that has been continued for one day.
Forty-year-old Venancio Vigil Jr. was arrested on potential charges of aggravated battery and aggravated burglary.
He is alleged to have stabbed Francisco Gracia Jr. in the front yard a Hutchinson home. The victim was transported by Reno County EMS to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center and underwent emergency surgery and later transferred to a Wichita hospital. We were told by police that his condition has improved and he has been released from the hospital.
Vigil remains jailed on a $50,000 bond and he should now appear in court Friday in front of Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen.
