HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A dispute between two men led to one of them being taken to the hospital for treatment and other to jail on a charge of aggravated battery.
32-year-old Dustin Wedgewood was arrested on the charge after he allegedly struck 28-year-old Joseph Murur with a piece of wood. Police were called to the 500 block of East 3 rd on the report of a battery.
When they arrived, they found the victim lying in the yard outside of an apartment. He had apparently been knocked out from being hit in the head. Murur was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The altercation Sunday evening may have been over money.
Wedgewood is jailed on a bond of $10,000 and will be back in court on Oct. 3.
