ARLINGTON, Kan. – At 6:20 pm, Tuesday evening, at the intersection of Arlington Road and Partridge Road an injury accident occurred involving a pickup truck and a semi truck and trailer.
Justin Bremer of Arlington was driving his pickup on Arlington road heading west. As he was approaching the intersection, a semi truck driven by Matthew Wells was already in the intersection. Wells had been traveling north on Partridge Rd when he entered the intersection.
Bremer was unable to come to a stop and struck the semi. He was wearing his seat belt and his airbags deployed. He was transported by EMS to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Wells was not injured and had been wearing his seat belt as well.
Both vehicles were towed away due to the accident. Bremer had the right of way for that intersection as stop signs were placed on Partridge Rd. Wells was cited for Failure to Yield at a stop sign.
