HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson fire crews responding to a brush and hay bale fire located just outside the northeast boundary of the Hutchinson Airport.

Units were called out to the 2500 block of Linksland around 3:40 this afternoon. Units arrived to find about 1 acre of land ablaze along with a large round hay bale.

The fire is at the north end of the only operational runway at the airport due to the construction work.
