DERBY, Kan. The Hutchinson High School golf team battled a tough course and windy conditions to land second place at the AVCTL meet held Tuesday at the Derby Golf and Country Club.

Maize easily won the meet with a 377, with the Hawks next at 395. Hutchinson had four golfers finish 8th through 11th Megan Mullins (97), Meredith Kinney (98), Mariah Cannon (98), and Hallie Dejmal (102). Ashley Werth finished in 21st and Katey Henke ended the day in 27th.
