HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Megan Mullins 3rd place finish lead the HHS golf team to 2nd place in the 6A regional meet held under windy conditions at Carey Park. Garden City won the meet with a final score of 360. Hutch was next at 376 and Derby was third at 387.

Mullins carded an 82 and was just a single shot off the winning score put in by Derby’s Emma Johnson. Mullins lost in a playoff for second. After Mullins came Hallie Dejmal who was the only other medalist for HHS with a 7th place finish, carding a 92. Miriah Cannon’s 98 and Ashley Werth’s 104 rounded out the scoring for HHS. the Salthawks other two golfers, Meredith Kinney shot a 106 and Katie Hennke ended the day with a 129.

The State meet is next Monday in Leawood, near Kansas City.
