Blue Dragon basketball fans will have opportunities to watch the Hutchinson Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams in preseason action this week at the Sports Arena.

The Blue Dragon men will scrimmage against Sunrise Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Dragon women will scrimmage at 5 p.m. on Friday against the Tabor College Junior Varsity.

These two scrimmages will be the only home scrimmages for the teams this season.

The scrimmages are open to the public. Because of ongoing construction with the Sports Arena renovation, there are some fan limitations:

+ Please park in the West Sports Arena lot only and enter through the door furthest south on the west side. There will be no access from the east side.

+ For the scrimmages, only the north blue seats and west bleachers will be available to sit in. The yellow and red seats cannot be used during the scrimmages.

+ Fans are asked not to explore non-fan designated areas for their safety.

+ Working restrooms will be located in the northwest (men’s) and southwest (women’s) corner of the arena. ADA accessible restrooms in the southeast corner are also operational.

As the 2016-17 regular-season opener draws closer, updated Sports Arena fan information for fans will be released by the Blue Dragon Athletic Department on BlueDragonSports.com and on our Facebook and Twitter social media sites.
