HUTCHINSON, Kan. – With the November general election approaching quickly, the race for United States 1st Congressional seat continues. A debate for the First Congressional District has been scheduled for Monday at the Hutchinson High School Performing Arts Center, located at 810 E. 13th Avenue. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m. and the debate will take place from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

With Kerry Burt’s recent announcement that he will be suspending his campaign, the two participants in the debate will include Dr. Roger Marshall, Republican Candidate and Alan LaPolice, Independent Candidate.

Chamber President and Chief Executive Officer Jason Ball will act as the moderator, and questions will be asked by a panel of three people.

There is no cost to attend the Congressional Debate. Members of the Chamber and the general public are encouraged to attend.
