RENO COUNTY- A Rice County couple were injured in an accident just after 7 p.m. on Saturday.
A vehicle driven by Randall “Randy” Henry was traveling on Hendricks Road to Sterling and had just turned onto West 56th Avenue, according to a social media report.
The driver changed lanes to pass slow moving traffic.
A vehicle in front, at nearly the same time, also maneuvered his vehicle to pass by the traffic on the left.
Henry’s vehicle was forced off the road, traveled over a short bridge and flipped over onto its top in the dry creek bed.
Henry and his wife Georgia were inside when Reno County Sheriff Officers arrived on scene.
The two were found still restrained by their seatbelts and airbags had deployed. Reno County Fire and EMS transported them to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing by the Reno County Sheriff Office.
