SYLVIA – Three people were injured in a two vehicle accident Thursday night in western Reno County. According to the Reno County Sheriffs Office, 78-year-old Fowler Figger of Stafford was driving west on U-S-50 when his vehicle struck an eastbound semi driven by 48-year-old Darryl Littrell of Winfield.

Figger, and 2 other occupants, 61-year-old Sandra Denzine of Stafford and 71-year-old Larry Schmidt of Sylvia were all transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in serious condition. Littrell was not injured. All four were wearing seat belts.

The accident occurring around 11:15 p-m near the intersection of U-S-50 and Brownlee Road, about a mile west of Sylvia.
