SEDGWICK COUNTY – A 39-year-old Cheney man was killed in a motorcycle accident near Garden Plain Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Joshua Cape was eastbound on U.S. 54 in Sedgwick County when for an unknown reason, he drifted into the median and struck a raised portion of the median. His motorcycle then overturned and came to rest in the westbound lanes of the divided highway.

He was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred at around 4:40 p.m. This near U.S 54 and 263rd Street in Sedgwick County.
