The Cosmosphere School Field Trip Fund Drive has achieved its goal of receiving $10,000 in donations by Feb. 1. When matched by the Patty Carey Education Endowment, the fund drive has raised $20,000 to cover transportation costs for school children to attend Cosmosphere field trips. However, the Cosmosphere still welcomes donations to the Field Trip Fund, which will be matched up to $25,000.

“With this first $10,000 and the matching grant, at least 40 busloads of students can enjoy the Cosmosphere’s interactive space science experience,” said Dianne Blick, Director of Development.

Already, the Cosmosphere has processed grant requests totaling $12,000 in transportation funds, supporting 2,117 kids and 32 schools.
