HUTCHINSON, Kan. — There is more work going on at the industrial park where Siemens is located. The wind turbine facility is in the beginning stages of a major expansion to its storage area.

The improvements include the creation of a 520,000 square foot outdoor gravel storage area on land west of the existing factory.

A&A Builders of Hutchinson has the contract for the project and Zenor Electric of Hutchinson will complete the electrical work.

The work is expected to be completed by the end of February.

Siemens also plans to upgrade equipment to move components around the facility.
