Hutchinson man hospitalized after stabbing incident

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Police are investigating after a 23-year-old man was stabbed Monday night. Ronald Boyd and his girlfriend were in Carey Park and stated that a white male approached them, resulting in a verbal altercation.

He was apparently stabbed in the chest one time, according to police, and was admitted at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment. Police have not spoken with the victim as of Tuesday morning because he is sedated at this point.

The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. and police are still investigating.

No arrests have been made.
