HUTCHINSON, Kan. — With the recent OPEC agreement, the gas price averages are starting to reflect the anticipated cutback in production.

Kansas still remains in the top ten of the lowest price averages in the country at $1.98.

We’re now seeing increases over last year’s prices. The lowest average can be found in Chapman at $1.83, followed by Vassar and Madison and Leavenworth at $1.85, according to Triple A Kansas.

The average price in Hutchinson is $1.97, however as always, Murphy’s USA is a few cents cheaper at $1.95.

We’ll continue to watch gas prices as we head toward the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays.
