It didn’t take long for the state to file charges against a man accused of breaking into the home of Hutchinson Mayor Ron Sellers and others.
19-year-old Kenneth Thompson is now formally charged with four counts of theft, one being a felony, three counts of auto burglary, and three counts of aggravated burglary.
Mayor Sellers is being credited with helping to catch Thompson when he apparently watched his home being invaded. He then called police leading to the 19-year-old’s arrest.
Police have recovered numerous items believed to have been stolen by Thompson. As we mentioned before, some of those items have not been claimed thus far, and police are asking that if you have any items missing that you contact them.
Now that Thompson has been formally charged, his case will be placed on a future waiver- status docket.
