A 24-year-old Hutchinson man who has been convicted of drugs in Ellsworth County in 2005 now has himself in a lot of trouble again here in Reno County.

Marcus Todd, aka, Marcus Johnstone faces serious charges involving drugs. He’s free on bond of 12-thousand, 500-dollars on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance using a communications device, namely a telephone, no tax stamp, and personal use drug paraphernalia.

But, the more troubling charges included three counts of possession of a firearm which included a Remington Scoremaster, .22 caliber rifle, a marlin model 99, 22-caliber rifle, and a Marlin model 60, 22-caliber rifle.

The arrest coming on August 23, by Hutchinson Police when they allegedly caught him with the drugs and the guns at 15 East 4 th.

Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen set a hearing in the case for September 13, however Todd says he maybe attending inpatient drug treatment at that time. The judge told him to keep in contact with his lawyer as to what is going on, and they can adjust things if needed.

He was released in November of 2007 for the previous case.
