One of the witnesses who testified at the preliminary hearing for two Hutchinson men accused of murder was arrested Friday on a warrant, accused of perjury for her testimony.
Dana Michelle Craig has been arrested charged with the one count for allegedly falsely testifying in at the hearing for her ex-husband Billy Craig Jr.. He along with Charles Christopher Logsdon are charged with the murder of Jennifer Heckel last summer.
Dana Craig testified that her ex-husband Billy Craig couldn’t have been involved in the murder because he was with their daughter that evening. She says she was at her exes home until 6 p-m, and that their daughter was with him after that.
But, the state showed evidence that this couldn’t be true, because their daughter was working at the McDonald’s in South Hutchinson during that time.
Dana Craig is being held of a 5-thousand dollar bond, and the formal complaint has already been filed by the state, so at some point she’ll make a first appearance for the reading of the charge.
She is also being held on a municipal court warrant for failing to appear.
Billy Craig and Charles “Chris” Logsdon were both bound over for trial on the murder charges Wednesday.
