A 25-year-old Hutchinson woman was in court Friday morning for a first appearance on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, but also two weapons.

Police apparently assisted community corrections in doing a search of the home belonging to Gloria Sanchez at 609 North Madison. Allegedly under her bed was a book safe and inside was a ziplock bag allegedly containing 42-grams of meth, and officials say they also found two scales, more ziplock bags, and some prescription pills.

The two guns were also found in the home. A 40-caliber handgun was allegedly found under her mattress, and a 25-caliber gun handgun was found in the kitchen.

She was on corrections for flee and elude and driving under the influence in a case that goes back to March of 2010.

In court, she asked for a reduction of her 15-thousand, 500-dollar bond. That was denied. She’ll be back in court next week, or sooner if the state files formal charges. Also look for the state to file a motion revoking her corrections in the flee and elude case.
