Accident sends Burrton man to a Wichita hospital.

Reno County Deputies were dispatched to Ave G and Worthington Rd. about 6:30 p-m last night for the report of a one vehicle crash with entrapment. Also advised of this crash were Burrton Fire and EMS, as well as Midwest Lifeteam Helicopter.

When the Deputies arrived, they found a 1999 Ford Ranger pickup driven by 19-year-old Zachary Hatton, of Burrton. He had been east bound on Ave G, crossed the roadway going into the north ditch and struck a cement culvert. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The exact nature of his injuries is not known, however, he was transported by Midwest Lifeteam to Via-Cristi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita in serious condition.

The crash is still under investigation and there are some indications that alcohol and other factors may be involved.
