Kansas Republican Party announces Presidential Caucus

Reno County Republican Party Chairman Gordon Roth announced Tuesday that March 10, will be the Presidential Caucus for Reno County.

“This year, it looks like Kansas Caucus will play a major role in the presidential selection process. By all accounts, the race will stay competitive for sometime and Kansas’ Caucus is the first event after Super Tuesday, March 6, and only state on March 10,” said Roth.

He adds, “ the caucus gives all registered Republicans the opportunity to cast their ballot’s for the Republican Presidential nominee of their choice and help determine which candidate receives the votes of Kansas 40-delegates at the Republican National Convention.”

The caucus here in Reno County will be held at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center in Hutchinson, with the doors opening for check in at 8:30 a-m, and the voting process beginning at 10 a-m.

Those wanting to participate in the caucus must be a registered Republican as of February 17, 2012, and must show a photo ID when they arrive at the Ramada. The caucus process if free of course. After checking in, voters will hear short presentations by representatives of each candidate and then receive a ballot to vote.
