Accident near Haven sends one to a Wichita hospital (UPDATED)

HAVEN – One person was been taken by air-ambulance to a Wichita hospital after a two vehicle accident near Haven.

The accident was located on K-96 at Arlington Rd.

56-year-old Martin Sellberg was eastbound on K-96 in his gray 2004 Toyota Landcruiser, when 42-year-old Amber Wortz was attempting to turn south onto Arlington Rd. Sellberg was unable to stop prior to striking Wortz on the passenger front door.

Wortz was air lifted by Midwest Lifeteam Helicopter to Via-Cristi St Francis Medical Center, in serious condition. Wortz also had a dog in the car that died at the scene.

Hutchinson Fireman were called to the scene to help get Wortz from her car with the jaws of life, and Haven Police and Haven EMS were also called to the scene.

The accident reported shortly after 8 p-m.
