CHENEY, Kan. — After a lot of work to clean up places flooded during the spring and early summer,
Cheney Lake is ready for another large Fourth of July crowd.
According to officials with Cheney State Park, all campgrounds and areas closed by the flooding over Memorial Day weekend are open. The lake is at a normal level and park officials say the lake is clear of debris washed in by the high water.
The marina is open for business although boating services will once again be limited.
The park expects the usual crowd in excess of 50,000 for the holiday weekend.
