KECHI – A 28-year-old Kechi man was killed early Saturday after he was struck and run over by a vehicle in that city.

According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s office, they were called to the scene around 1:40 a-m. the female driver had apparently called 911 to report the accident and that she had run over someone.

When E-M-S crews arrived on the scene, they discovered the body of Carson E. Shotton was still underneath the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sedgwick County Sheriff Detectives are still investigating the case and may send the information to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges.

Sheriff Officials did not release the drivers name who struck the man, or if alcohol may have played a role in the accident.
